A lovely rose, its perfectly formed flowers are white with blushes of soft pink. Sweetly fragrant. Sits upon an 80cm clear stem, and will reach 1.25m once established.
Trimming: Prune in winter to maintain a balanced standard shape, removing dead, weak, crossing, or inward-growing stems. Lightly trim after each flowering flush to encourage fresh growth and repeat flowering.
Deadheading: Remove spent flowers regularly during the flowering season, cutting back to a strong outward-facing bud to encourage more flowers.
Fertilising: Feed in early spring with a rose fertiliser, then repeat after the first main flowering flush. Avoid feeding late in the season, as soft new growth can be more prone to frost damage.
Watering: Water regularly during establishment, keeping moisture consistent around the root zone. Once established, water deeply during extended dry periods, especially in hot weather and while flowering.
Pest Control: Watch for aphids, thrips, mites, scale, and caterpillars, which may cause distorted growth, marked petals, or damaged foliage. Treat early with horticultural oil, insecticidal soap, or an appropriate insecticide.
Disease Management: Monitor for black spot, powdery mildew, rust, and botrytis, which may show as spotted or yellowing leaves, white powdery growth, orange pustules, or browning flowers. Remove affected leaves and flowers, improve airflow, avoid overhead watering, and apply a suitable rose fungicide if required.
