Rose Loving Touch
Rosa 'Loving Touch' is a compact Patio rose featuring perfectly shaped, soft peach-pink flowers with a delicate fragrance. The high-centred flowers are borne singly on long stems, making them ideal for cutting. Flowering begins in late spring and continues through to autumn, with the plant displaying excellent disease resistance and neat, dark green foliage.
Well-suited for borders, cutting gardens, or containers. Complements formal, contemporary, and romantic garden styles.
Prefers a sunny, sheltered location in fertile, well-drained soil. Allow spacing of around 60 cm between plants for best performance and airflow.
Mature size: Grows to approximately 80–90 cm tall and 60 cm wide, maintaining a tidy, upright form.
Trimming: Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to maintain a compact shape and remove any dead or weak growth. This miniature rose benefits from regular tip pruning to encourage bushiness.
Deadheading: Remove spent flowers frequently throughout the flowering season to promote continuous flowering and maintain a neat appearance.
Fertilising: Feed with a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in early spring, followed by a liquid feed after the first flush. Avoid overfeeding, especially late in the season.
Watering: Keep soil consistently moist during dry periods, particularly while establishing. Water at the base to avoid wetting foliage.
Pest Control: Monitor for aphids, spider mites, and thrips. Treat infestations early with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil.
Disease Management: Can be susceptible to mildew and black spot. Ensure good air circulation and remove any affected foliage. Use a preventative fungicide if needed and avoid overhead watering.
